Council,
1. Takes note of the briefing made by the Commissioner for Peace and Security on the evolving situation in Guinea Bissau, as well as of the briefing by the Chair of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), the United Nations and Angola, as Chair of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP);
2. Recalls its earlier communiqués on the situation in Guinea Bissau, and commends ECOWAS for the efforts deployed to address the situation in the country;
3. Encourages ECOWAS to pursue its efforts, in close coordination with the other relevant international actors, notably the CPLP, the African Union, the United Nations and the European Union, towards the implementation of the decisions relating to the return to constitutional order in Guinea Bissau;
4. Commends the Government of the Republic of Angola for the role played by MISSANG, and encourages it to continue its contribution to the process for a way out from the crisis. Council also commends the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for its contribution to the ongoing efforts of ECOWAS in Guinea Bissau
5. welcomes the ongoing consultations towards the early convening of a meeting of the International Contact Group on Guinea Bissau;
6. Decides to remain actively seized of the matter.
